According to a rumor revealed by Bluetooth SIG , the Samsung Cetus is the name of a terminal Windows 7 Phone not yet announced. Although the news is a few days ago, is a particularly interesting: it could be a competitor to iPhone 4 for video calling.
The phone based on Windows 7 Phone is equipped with an AMOLED display (probably SUPER AMOLED) with 4-inch 800 × 480 resolution, 5 megapixel camera room, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, FM radio and a front camera VGA for video calls, FaceTime style of Apple.
Although cameras are certainly not front the latest technology for mobile, this is the first handset Phone Windows 7 to be fitted for now. The particularly interesting is that it has been reported as specifically designed for video calls (not only for self portraits): Microsoft has not ever confirmed official support for video calling WP7, but might do so soon or it could be an implementation all against Samsung.
The Samsung Cetus was codenamed SGH-i917: expect to learn more. Meanwhile, what do you think of the idea of video calling?
